Recently, we have seen significant improvement in the Nets’ play. In their last six games, they have tagged four wins. They beat the Hornets, Bulls, and Pelicans. They also pulled off a fourth five-point victory against the Bucks, who were missing Giannis. These recent W’s have moved them up to the thirteenth seed in the Eastern Conference, and one game behind the Charlotte Hornets. This win streak is a result of the rookie’s emergence, improvement in three-point efficiency, and Michael Porter Jr. Although lazy turnovers could hurt them significantly.

Lately, the young players have been showing noticeable growth and confidence. Specifically, Danny Wolf, Egor Dëmin, and Noah Clowney. Over the past eight games, Danny Wolf’s minutes have increased to 23.1 per game. This resulted in a jump in his averages, with him now averaging 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists since November 28th. Wolf has shown his ability to knock down the 3 ball (40% from 3 over the last eight games) and his passing talent. As for Dëmin, over his last 9 games, he is averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Noah Clowney has shown that he has the potential to be a star in the future. In the past 2 seasons, his averages have only gone up. Recently, he has really turned it up. Over the last 10 games, the third-year forward is averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Along with that, he is shooting at a high level from three, hitting three shots from behind the arc per game on 40% shooting. These players are important pieces to Brooklyn’s future and are taking advantage of their time on the floor.

The Nets have gotten much better at making three-point shots compared to earlier in the season. At first, the team was atrocious from deep, but lately their shooting has gotten better. This is because players are moving the ball better and taking smarter shots. Many players are making more catch-and-shoot threes instead of hard pull-up shots. This better shooting helps spread the floor, opening the driving lane to the basket. It also gives the offense a better flow. If the Nets keep shooting this well, their future game plans will probably focus on sharing the ball and getting open shots.

Overall, the Nets have improved in key areas, especially shooting and teamwork. It’s hard to say if they can keep it up in the next games, but all I know is there is a bright future in Brooklyn.
